My project, entitled #VNLGBTQ247 uses photos taken and provided by the Vietnamese LGBTQ to tell stories about their everyday life. The project utilizes digital tools, cameras and smart phones, which most people have these days to record the moments and social media including Facebook and Instagram to spread the word.
For this project I ask people to record moments of their life during a day by taking photos, uploading them on Facebook or Instagram and checking in at their location with the hashtag #VNLGBTQ247.
This project seeks to maximize the visibility of the LGBTQ community in society and send a strong message about LGBTQ people being just like everybody else.

Điểm Chạm Cầu Vồng
“Touched by the Rainbow” is an action campaign to increase the visibility of the LGBTQ community in Vietnam to eliminate the gap between the LGBTQ community and mainstream society.
By creating the hashtag #diemchamcauvong (“touched by the rainbow”) we are hoping members of the LGBTQ community and their supporters can share spaces where they feel free and comfortable. We have created our on Instagram feed and are inviting people to make 10-second videos about their lives and share the footage with the hashtag #diemchamcauvong. The clips will be shared on the project’s Facebook page to increase the views, spread messages more quickly and allow more people to participate.
With “Touched by the Rainbow” we want to emphasize that members of the LGBTQ community are like everyone else: normal people with simple needs.
