The project Legends and Roots is an interactive cube programmed to recount Mexico’s folkloric tales. The device was created out of laser-cut wooden panels — each panel contains symbolic imagery of a story and light is projected from the center to cast shadows in the surrounding vicinity. As participants pass by the cube, motion sensors trigger vocal narratives, music, and various audio effects to bring these stories to life.
