This group created work around the theme of Women’s Empowerment in culture. By approaching gender as fluid, the Weaving Emotions project creates a conversation about how societal standards of gender affects individuals. Visitors are asked to participate in the inclusive process of weaving by choosing a fabric color based on their experience of gender and contributing to the tapestry. This communal and meditative piece was made by utilizing digital fabrication and traditional weaving technologies.
